Scholarships are available for school district employees! Part of the value of a conference of this sort is bringing representatives of key constituencies to one location to share stories, exchange ideas, and learn from one another. We recognize how difficult it can be for our members in the public sector to justify the expense of such meetings, though, so in an effort to encourage broad participation among school district employees the North Carolina Chapter and Southeast Region are offering scholarships for school district employees.
Up to two employees from any district in the seven-state region (North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky) are eligible. The first 100 district employees who register as an attendee for the conference will be awarded two nights' lodging at the conference venue, the Crowne Plaza Resort in Asheville, NC. Furthermore, conference registration has been cut in half for district employees! In this manner we hope to make it as easy as possible for our colleagues from school systems across the southeast to join us for what is sure to be an informative, exciting, thoughtful conference. There is no need to apply for the scholarship. Simply register for the conference. If you are one of the first 100 school district employees (and one of the first two from your district) to register then you will be permitted to submit a reimbursement for the first two nights' lodging of your stay.
