As in year’s past, the Virginia Chapter of A4LE partnered in 2018-19 with Hampton University and Virginia Tech to facilitate a design competition for students in the 4th year of their architectural education. This competition provides students the opportunity to create and develop projects based on real world programs, sites and project concepts. Teams of professional mentors, including architects specializing in K-12 education and school facility mangers, engage students over the course of the project duration and provide feedback and mentoring over the course of the project. We once again thank Hampton University and Virginia Tech for their continued involvement and support and congratulate this year’s winners.
