Convenient day trips within the Walla Walla Valley include the towns of College Place, Waitsburg, Dayton, and Milton-Freewater. Only a short drive or bike ride away, our neighbors offer even more unique museums, dining and spirits, shopping and community events.

Kirkman House Museum
Visit one of Walla Walla's oldest mansions and learn how a young textile salesman from England made his fortune in America's Wild West. William and Isabelle Kirkman became pillars of the community and completed this grand home in 1880. Today it is a place to tell his story and that of early Walla Walla through permanent and temporary exhibits and events. The home is populated with family heirlooms and period pieces to illustrate daily Victorian life.
Power House Theatre
This decommissioned utility station turned state-of-the-art theatre and has quickly become a flashpoint for new events and new kinds of entertainment. In addition to the annual Shakespeare Festival every August, you'll enjoy concerts, comedy shows, plays, and presentations.
