Reverb: Laissez les Bons Temps Rouler

Valuable content makes for valuable conferences...are YOU the key to a great conference?

We invite you to be an integral part of the Southern Region Conference by volunteering to share your knowledge, experience, lessons learned and tricks of the trade. This year's theme, REVERB: Laissez les bons temps rouler, speaks directly to our opportunities to learn from the past and impact and influence the world around us whether through educational planning, design, construction or operation – and everywhere in between!

As active participants in this work, share your compelling stories and your collaborative engagements with clients, colleagues and communities.

The Southern Region is seeking speakers/presenters for the Conference Education Sessions on April 1-4, 2017. Sessions will provide 60 minutes for presentations, interactive discussions and/or Q&A. You may address any aspect of school planning, instruction, design and construction, or maintenance and operations, but your presentation must explore innovative concepts and/or be interactive by allowing for small group discussion among audience members. Submissions will be ranked based on the following criteria:

  • AIA Credit – 2 points, HSW Credit – 5 points
  • Interactive Discussion with or Activity for Attendees – 5 points
  • Opportunity for application by attendee to future endeavor – 5 points
  • Topic's direct impact on students and/or educators – 5 points
  • Presenter's/Presenters' recent speaking experience in the Assocation – 1 point if Southern Region speaker in last 3 years, 5 points if not Southern Region speaker in last 3 years, 3 points if at least one speaker spoke in last 3 years and at least one did not

The submissions with the highest average ranking will be selected for inclusion in the 2017 Southern Region Conference agenda. If a selected submission is not available, the next highest ranking submission will be included until all slots have been filled. The first and second highest ranking submissions not selected will be notified as backups in the case of a cancellation between selections and the conference.

Please note the sessions are to be educational in nature. Sales, product, or marketing presentations will not be accepted. Speakers will not be paid for their time and/or travel, and selection does not waive the conference registration fee.
