The North Carolina Chapter of the Association for Learning Environments is now accepting session proposals for our upcoming conference. The conference theme is
Innovate, Collaborate & Rejuvenate. We hope that you are considering joining us and we look forward to reviewing your proposal. The intended audience includes school district superintendents, educators, facility and operations managers, planners, designers and builders whose collective mission is to improve the environments where children learn. Conference attendees will self-select into concurrent sessions.
Innovate
A4LE’s architects, designers, educators, and vendors are passionate about best practices for leading-edge learning environments. We believe that state-of-the-art educational facilities support student achievement, strengthen our communities, and generate long-term results; come be a part of the process of innovation as we work together for a bright future for North Carolina’s schools.
Collaborate
Our annual conference brings together key stakeholders invested in design excellence for learning environments and inspires lively discussion on issues which impact us all, from funding to sustainable design to facilities which support 21st Century learning. An exciting program of educational sessions, roundtables, networking events, and speakers will allow you to reconnect with old friends, engage with colleagues, and make new connections.
Rejuvenate
Nothing says “relaxation” like the sounds of the ocean. Beautiful Wrightsville Beach, NC offers endless opportunities for both rest and recreation. A short drive from historic Wilmington’s landmarks and amenities, our beautiful coastal conference setting is sure to inspire you and help you recharge.
Sessions will be sixty (60) minutes in length, with a balance of time for presentation and group discussion. All proposals for consideration must be submitted on or before
December 8, 2017. AV equipment will be available, if requested. All speakers must provide an electronic copy of their presentation on or before
March 9, 2018. All speakers must register and pay the regular conference fee.
