29th Annual Saskatchewan Chapter Conference & AGM

January 21-23, 2015 Challenges and Opportunities of A Growing Province Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

The annual Conference of the Saskatchewan Chapter, will be held Wednesday to Friday, January 21st to 23rd, 2015 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Conference location is at the Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon.

Attendees will include personnel from School Divisions and the Ministry of Education, as well as Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Suppliers representing the whole spectrum of school facility design, planning, construction and operations. Registration of approx. 150 participants is anticipated. The Association is approaching firms that provide products and services to the educational facilities market to help support this Conference.

The Conference will provide opportunities to visit the new Warman Community Middle School and Municipal Complex, and the new Willowgrove / Holy Family Joint Use Elementary Schools Project. The opening session will focus on the Willowgrove/Holy Family project, with "lessons learned" and "opportunities realized" to be shared by key participants. There will be a variety of engaging concurrent sessions, with topics dealing with planning, design, construction, and maintenance and operations aspects of the school facilities business. And special guest Mr. John Gormley – local talk radio host and personality – will discuss the "Challenges and Opportunities of A Growing Province" from his unique perspective. Plan to spend time at the all day tradeshow on Thursday, to learn about new products, materials and suppliers. And count on warm prairie hospitality and many opportunities to connect with old friends and meet new ones too.
