Education Facilities Clearinghouse

Improving the Places Where Students Learn

High-performing education facilities enhance student achievement, promote health and safety, reap cost savings, and foster positive community engagement.

The Education Facilities Clearinghouse (EFC) collects and disseminates resources on effective practices for the planning, design, financing, procurement, construction, improvement, operation, and maintenance of safe, healthy, and high-performing elementary and secondary schools.

Resources are accessible on the EFC website at www.efc.gwu.edu.

In addition, free technical assistance for eligible schools and/or school divisions is available. Training for individuals in leadership positions who are responsible for construction and/or maintenance of elementary and secondary education facilities is also offered.
