Although many progressive educators are convinced that the future of education lies in blended learning, the transition is not always easy. Steelcase researchers have discovered six key insights to help educational institutions respond to the technology revolution that is underway in learning. It's increasingly important that institutions explore opportunities to create environments that make blended learning an engaging experience for students and instructors.

Architects looking for ways to reduce crime with their design will benefit from the concepts within CPTED, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design. CPTED is a comprehensive crime prevention approach that looks at how the physical environment can either create opportunity for crime or discourage it. In this course we will discuss how to deter crime through the proper use of lighting, fencing, traffic control and landscaping. Integrating these elements in the building design from the start will result in a safer and more productive environment. This course will explain how the human and physical environment directly effects human behavior which will impact productivity and quality of life which can lead to an increase/decrease in exposure to crime.
