Cox Mill High School

This new 232,000 SF, $32 million High School, located in
the northwest part of Cabarrus County, was occupied in
July 2009. Sited adjacent to the Rocky River, the school
campus includes parking for 725 cars and 20 buses, a
football stadium and track with seating for 2,200, baseball
and softball fields, soccer field, and tennis courts. All fields
are lighted and irrigated.
The school is bisected by a large daylit Lobby/Commons
area that serves as the main entrance and provides lobby
space for the Gym, Cafeteria, and Auditorium at the north
end of the school. This arrangement allows simultaneous
public access to the large assembly areas, while providing
security for the classroom and office areas.
