Call for Speakers

Conference Theme: InspirED

The name and theme for this year's conference is "InspirED". The blend of inspiration and education represents the moments of creativity found in how we approach the design of learning environments. How can we continue to inspire, challenge, and motivate each other to strengthen learning in new and innovative ways? At InspirED, we will push the envelope when it comes to breaking barriers in equity and diversity; redefine ways to engage students; link our buildings to place; and discover meaningful ways to connect with our communities. Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, WA will set the tone with its unique ecology. The InspirED logo represents the areas abundant Audubon community with a nest icon that symbolizes the intersectionality of values and ideas while celebrating our unique differences.

Eligibility
Anyone, regardless of A4LE membership, can submit a speaking proposal. No compensation will be provided for expenses, travel, or lodging, however, a stipend for substitute teacher time will be provided for educators.

Please note the sessions are to be educational in nature. Sales, product, or marketing presentations will not be accepted.

Selection Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

Does the proposal include students, teachers, or administrators as presenters?
Does the proposal include representatives from more than one organization as presenters?
Does the proposal relate to the conference theme?
Does the proposal offer a fresh perspective?
Is the proposal’s content relevant and of interest?
Does the proposal have measurable and achievable learning objectives?

Proposals are due by 5:00 pm April 7, 2023.

Speakers will be notified on or about April 30, 2023.
