“Winds of Change”
The North Carolina Chapter of the Association for Learning Environments will convene for its annual conference in Spring of 2021 in beautiful downtown Asheville. This year the theme of the conference is “Winds of Change
”. As we meet to collaborate and share ideas for providing better learning environments for students and educators in NC, we do so as winds of change are blowing around us no matter where in the state we live. Extreme weather, driven by climate change, is literally blowing through our communities. Changing attitudes toward funding, challenges us to look forward with fresh eyes. School choice is establishing itself as a major influence on our design and planning. And an ever-evolving safety landscape requires us to rethink and retool to adapt to the issues of the day. Asheville’s downtown renaissance and natural beauty provide a dynamic backdrop for this engaging three day conference of industry leaders and decision makers.
