11:00 – 11:30 am Central time
Dear Saskatchewan A4LE Members,
While many of you have seen the flyers that have been circulating, we would like to take a minute to introduce the A4LE JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Committee.
Allow me to extend to you an invitation to join us for a brief 30 minute introduction to the A4LE Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) initiative.
Our Canadian representative for the Pacific Northwest Region is Faye Strong, and she has graciously offered to share some of her time to touch base with the membership about the ongoing JEDI initiative within A4LE.
We have also extended the invitation to this virtual get together to our neighboring membership in Alberta and look forward to seeing everyone.
What is JEDI:
The JEDI Committee was established in the Fall of 2020 by the International Board to kickstart discussions and generate initiatives that are focused on Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, throughout the organization at the Regional and Chapter levels. The ultimate goal is to create better learning experiences, better learning environments, and a better world.
The purpose of JEDI is to ensure that every A4LE member and community we serve are provided the opportunity to participate, share, and obtain the tools and knowledge necessary to understand the importance, value, and benefits of a diverse and equitable Association at the chapter, regional, national, and global levels; identify ways that we can take meaningful action, and foster and implement changes and opportunities for all involved in education.
