Call for Facility Tours
The Pacific Northwest Region is excited to announce that we are soliciting proposals for school tours, for projects in Oregon and SW Washington during our Regional Conference, set for April 23-26, 2020 at The Nines in Portland, OR.
While our focus is K-12 schools, we're also very interested in receiving submittals for other learning environments that are inspirational and may potentially influence the approach to K-12 school design. Types of tours can vary – our membership has expressed interest in touring buildings under construction, as well as finished buildings. Be creative!
We encourage association members, as well, as interested firms and districts/divisions to submit your proposals for school tours. Tour duration will be vary depending on school size and travel time, and commonly sixty (60) minutes in length.
Preference will be given to proposals which:
- Include team members who contributed to the planning, design or construction, including students, teachers, or administrators.
- Relate to the conference theme
- Offer a fresh perspective
- Have measurable and achievement learning objectives
Please note the tours are to be educational in nature. Sales, product, or marketing tours will not be accepted.
Proposals for consideration must be made by December 1, 2019
