Julie Williams Named Chair-Elect of the Association for Learning Environments

WASHINGTON, DC – The Association for Learning Environments has named Julie Williams chair-elect of the International Board of Directors. Julie Williams, senior facility planner Ocean View School District of Orange County, CA, assumed the role at the recent LearningSCAPES Conference held in Atlanta, GA. She joins fellow Executive Committee members William A. Stice, ALEP chair and Philip Idle, ARAIA, vice chair.
In her current role and those in the private sector, she has served school districts throughout North America as an educational facilities planner as well as senior planning roles for program management and architectural firms. Ms. Williams is recognized as an international expert on the theory of multiple intelligences and the integration of curriculum in to the built environment as teaching tools. She shares her expertise by introducing faculty members, administrators, parents, students and design professionals to the variety of innovative teaching and learning styles that create thriving educational environments
