Description: The Facility Maintenance & Operations Manager position is responsible for managing Facility Services maintenance and operation functions and personnel for UAS Juneau Campus. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative facilities management professional with a commitment to team building, possesses a strong technical background, and has previous experience supervising union covered workers. UAS Facilities Services staff includes electricians, plumbers, heating/ventilation and boiler technicians, fleet and maintenance service workers, locksmith, grounds crew, and custodians to handle daily maintenance to more than thirty Juneau campus buildings. Ideal candidate would have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management or related field from a regionally accredited college or university. Education and/or experience in a related field including either a four year license or Journey-level certification. Experience with facility operation and maintenance including architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems as well as no less than 5 years’ experience with pertinent administrative, supervisory and personnel management practices. A combined seven years of experience is preferred. This recruitment will be open until filled with the initial applicant review date taking place on July 10th, 2017.
