About The Educational Facility Planner
The
Educational Facility Planner (EFP) is the flagship journal of the Association for
Learning Environments. Published three times a year,
and maintenance of school facilities. The Journal's reach extends to key
professionals directly involved in the $40 billion school building industry.
Articles cover topics related to the planning, design, construction and
maintenance of school facilities. The Journal reaches school facility planners,
architects, school administrators, construction managers, technology
coordinators, maintenance and operations professionals, researchers,
professors, and university libraries. The
EFP is not a peer-reviewed journal.
The Journal is distributed to all Association members and over 100 national and
international academic libraries subscribe to it regularly.
Reader Population
Articles should be written to be appealing and interesting to a diverse population that includes school and college
administrators, school board members, school and college faculty members, facility maintenance and operating
personnel, architects, engineers, builders and contractors. A straightforward, readable style is encouraged.
Format
Preferred length: 1500-2000 words.
All manuscripts and graphics should be submitted electronically. Submit text in MS-Word or rich text format;
graphics should be submitted in TIFF format. Files may be sent via email or disk. Please use the Chicago style
with appropriate citations to sources referenced in the article. All sources cited in articles should be clearly
referenced.
